SATTA is an association representing travel and tourism agencies operating in Somalia, It was established in 2013 with a fundamental aim of improving the travel and tourism sectors. We focus on representing the interests of our stakeholders both locally and internationally. SATTA has the full support of the Ministry of Transportation & Civil Aviation, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Ministry of Interior & Federal Affairs, Ministry of Information, Culture & Tourism, Somali Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Somali Immigration Services, Immigration & Naturalization Directorate and the Municipality of Mogadishu under the Federal Republic of Somalia. It is now the leading travel and tourism organization that provides the necessary support to its members in order for them to provide efficient, cost effective and quality travel services for their customers. SATTA offers crucial support to the marginalized youths in Somalia. Since its founding, the organization has created a number of job opportunities for 120 youths. Majority of these were achieved through strong engagement and consultations with the local communities in various regions in Somalia. SATTA offers quality vocational trainings which enable the youths to become self employed within the training careers offered to them. SATTA is a full member of the United Federation of Travel Agents Association (UFTAA) and works closely with other organizations such as IATA.
